Orange Amplification was founded in 1968 by British musician and electronics designer Clifford Cooper. He opened his first store in London’s West End in 68' and sold his first two-dozen amps to Fleetwood Mac in 1969. With their bright colors, sci-fi controls and distinctive crest, Orange amps couldn’t have been born in any other decade or any other country.
Amp Control by Orange Amplification
The Orange "Amp Control" app will generate excitement surrounding the new product launch of Digitally Controllable Amps and intrigue musicians to take part in the Orange social community. Amp Control will allow musicians to create custom preset tones and share them with a social community of musicians. ‘Manual Control’ allows you to manipulate your amplifier settings on your tablet in real time. This will influence a smoother performance and/or practice with quick and easy transitions through presets and seemless adjustments through individual knobs and settings.
The manual control feature allows you to operate and adjust your amp settings from your tablet. Swiping over each knob from left to right, or right to left will create it to spin and adjust. There's also a center toggle for quick transitions between clean and dirty tones.
The Orange community page curates popular presets that others have created and shared. Once you choose a tone and swipe to the left, you can save the preset (rock hand) or set it directly to your Orange amp.
