Plants with smaller roots were less successful in this system, because they did not have enough surface area with which to soak up nutrients from the dripping water.  The Ajuca, Ivy, Fittonia, and Bird's Nest Fern met their new environment with some difficulty for this reason.

Light from the doorway is unable to reach the top right corner of the wall - a grow light will have to be installed.  Crotons call for high light conditions: the ones planted nearer the bottom left corner are thriving while their cousins in the top right are losing leaves for lack of light.  Most of the other plants are tropical ferns, which call for partial sun.  The Elkhorn Fern is particularly pleased with the amount of light at this time.

The wall has been put on a timer set to run the pump for 15 minutes and turn it off for an hour.  We shall see if this schedule provides enough nutrients in time.
