Problem: Family caregivers are burdened mentally, emotionally, and financially when caring for their elderly parents. Among their many responsibilities, they have to secure the appropriate legal documentation and navigate complex legal processes to ensure that they can make decisions to protect the wishes of their parents. Current informational resources regarding these legal documents are often dense, lengthy, and filled with jargon -- which can not only be frustrating, but can lead to potentially problematic misinformation.
Solution: Family Bridge's goal was to distill the most vital legal information for caregivers in a simple, visually appealing, easy-to-understand guide. The design focus of this guide was to incorporate visual layout, icons, and colors to clearly organize and categorize the many complex legal terms and conditions to facilitate understanding.
