The Valley House
Commercial area: 454 sqm
Location: Valle de Angeles, Honduras
Architects: Waleska Mariela

Concept: This tranquil mountain house, nestled amidst a serene cluster of trees, has been thoughtfully designed as a family retreat. Constructed using locally-sourced stone and eco-friendly exposed brick, the house effectively minimizes thermal transfer from the outdoors, thereby enhancing its thermal comfort.

The house features a private wing comprising spacious ensuite bedrooms, separated by a hallway adorned with windows that usher in abundant natural light. The main living room is a marvel with its double-height ceiling, grand chimney, and triple sliding glass doors that seamlessly connect the indoors to a roofed terrace, perfect for social gatherings.
Every room in the house boasts high ceilings and is designed for cross ventilation, ensuring improved indoor air quality and a gentle breeze for everyone to enjoy. Large windows in every room offer stunning views of the outdoors. Additionally, the driveway is permeable and fitted with pavers to prevent flooding. Gardens, pathways and green spaces were created all throughout the lot to enjoy its surroundings. This mountain house is not just a dwelling, but an experience that blends comfort with nature.
