Above: Cover designed for Central Florida Lifestyle September 2013 North Edition. This was before the whole magazine was redesigned and the circulation area was reduced. The issue was focusing on how Central Florida was in the past.
Above: The How You Can Help Department highlights an organization or cause every month. The September 2015 HYCH highlighted the Urban Think Foundation's Page 15 literacy program. As an avid reader myself, I chose to show how books can come to life with the image I found on a stock photography page.
Above: Instlye is a compilation of hot trends in clothing, cosmetics and accessories.
Above: Every edition of Lifestyle Magazine has 3 feature articles. Two are published in both editions as well as a regional feature that is from the particular area of circulation. The August regional features were about twins. As one of the twins relocated out of state, I was only able to use older images supplied by the brother and sister.
Above: Travel is a department we have that runs in both editions of the magazine. This was the September 2015 travel story about a resort stay in New England.
Above: The Table of Contents can vary each month (and edition) from 1-2 pages. This is one of the 2-page TOC's from the Central/East edition. It spotlights the features, and allows the reader to check out the other regional feature by announcing you can see more of that type on the website.
Above: Dining Department changes per edition. We try to highlight a different restaurant in each region every month. This one I laid out for Slate in the South/West September 2015 issue.
Above: Travel story for August 2015
Above: Every magazine has a calendar section. I usually lay out and choose the images for them. This one is the September 2015 Calendar from the South/West edition of Central Florida Lifestyle.
