Monster Mash (Up)

Monster Mash (Up)
Happy spooky season! With all the fun that comes with Halloween time, why not make it more fun using monster stickers with a twist? When I began the process of creating this sticker set, the first thing I knew was that I wanted the main theme to be Halloween. However, Halloween alone would not hit the mark. The direction I landed on was different Halloween characters doing normal every day activities.
My sketching process began with brainstorming the characters I wanted to use. In my original idea, I planned to use a vampire, but upon developing them further, I decided to change directions and use Frankenstein instead. The most challenging part of this process for me was being creative about the various activities they would be doing. I wanted simple things that could come out looking fun when combined with the characters. In the end, I came up with a ghost listening to music, a mummy baking, a skeleton eating a sandwich, a witch talking on the phone, a pumpkin man thinking on a log, and a Frankenstein going to the movies.
After finishing my drafts, some feedback I received was to use thicker strokes to add definition to the parts of the designs, and to use more shapes for shading on the skeleton like the other illustrations.

The final product is a very cohesive and fun sticker set! For anyone with a love of Halloween who wants to show it off, these are the perfect stickers to use to express that.
