This series of bowls was inspired by a project involving throwing a form and altering it. I found myself drawn to the very organic and flowing shapes that caught the eye with the carved rims and thus, focused my project on this aspect of alteration. While the images that the rims may form may seem very suggestive, I wanted the viewer to see whatever he or she wanted to see in them.
