BIGO Live Offline Event Berlin

The Flash mob Offline Event was conceived in July with the primary goal of increasing the visibility of BIGO Live in the DACH region and encouraging more downloads. The idea for the event originated from me. During a meeting, my line manager highlighted the challenges of hosting an offline event in Germany due to the high cost and time-consuming process of renting a venue. To address this, the concept of a flash mob dance in the streets of Berlin was proposed. This approach leveraged the streets of Berlin as a free venue, with the unique twist of inviting random passersby to participate by watching, filming, and scanning a QR code to download BIGO Live.

To execute this vision, a personal connection with a friend who was an emerging influencer with her dance group was utilized. This relationship allowed us to collaborate on the event without incurring additional costs beyond flights and accommodation.

The organization and execution of the entire offline event rested primarily on my shoulders. Robert, a colleague from BIGO, played a pivotal role by assisting with logistics, such as driving a van, which allowed us to acquire the printed flyers, overseeing the distribution of merchandise to the audience, as well as renting out the speakers used to play music during the event.

The Flashmob Offline Event successfully achieved its objectives of promoting BIGO Live, increasing downloads, and creating engaging content while also offering room for improvements in future events.
