36 days of Type is an annual typography challenge that invites designers, illustrators and graphic artists to design their interpretation of the letters and numbers of the Latin alphabet. I took on this challenge to learn Nomad Sculpt, a 3d software available on ipad that allows for sculpting and exploring 3d on the go. I decided to use simple Boolean operations on the app to create the letters and numbers as simple extrusions with varying textures and colors. I conceptualized the letters and numbers on procreate and then sculpted the form on Nomad sculpt, finally rendering the scenes with inbuilt render engine of the app. This typographic exercise allowed me to explore the finer nuances of the forms, textures and colors all the while allowing me to learn a new software.
