Algorithmic apparel is a part of a unit called Fabricate, where the premise of this project was to use data and CAD software to create parametric jewellery. I designed a series of bracelets inspired by Ghanian culture, Ghanian Jewellery and water and sea elements to pay homage to my ethnic culture.
There are 3 main bracelets with set designs are based on the different dynamics of water: Ripples, Whirlpools, Waves, and Waterdrops. Their parametric versions have been digitally morphed with each state of water, intersecting with the main bracelet designs. The complex details are made up of data comprised of decibels and RMS from short videoclips of natural surroundings in Ghana.
