A DATE TO REMEMBER
A DATE TO REMEMBER is the short that I consider my most favorite because we are able to take home 7 out of 7 awards for this film including Best Picture, Best Director, Best Screenplay, etc. This film, which I also directed, was our entry for the second run of Liyab, and we were able to win the Best Picture award. I was the one who wrote and directed this short horror film. This is my favorite among all the other short film entries that were made for different short film contests because I am very proud of what I have produced. Through the use of mobile phones, we are able to produce a very spooky Liyab entry, and as of writing this text, we are in the process of submitting this short film to CineBedista, a film contest festival hosted by San Beda University-Alabang. As a director who is able to garner and produce such output, it is truly an achievement for me because this is proof that the field that I am in has prepared a bright future for me.
A girl who has lost her loved ones has a deep secret about keeping their presence in her mind to convince herself that she is loved and will never be alone. Betty and Sheron will celebrate their wedding anniversary with a date on Betty's balcony. Betty intends to tell her mother and sister about her boyfriend. Sheron's excitement fades as he learns Betty's darkest secret about herself and her family.
