HRYAK MEAT RESTAURANT
The series of 15 paintings were created for Hryak Meat Restaurant in Chernihiv, Ukraine.
The building of restaurant is old wooden building built in early XX century. Its interior was decorated in merchant style. The name "HRYAK" is translated in English "male pig". So there was a portrait gallery in the banquet hall of the restaurant. Portraits of pigs are reference for portraits of rich people of XIX cent.
