The “Vostok 1” project was a 3D-2D animated projection over the observation tower of the Museum Laberinto de las Ciencias y las Artes in San Luis Potosí, México. It took place during the astronomical night on April 24 of 2014 using a 10,000 lumen projector.

It consisted on a 2 hour show in which some engineers and scientists examined and searched for details before launching the rocket. A 3 mintue loop animation did the job for the first hour and a half. After that, all the scientist returned to operation centre and an actor dressed as Yuri Gagarin interacted with the people and gave a speech, when he finished, he went into the tower and a coordinated animation replaced the actor into a animated model who went up into the elevator and waved to the audience as he went up. He boarded the rocket and traveled to space. The show was such a success that  had to be repeated later that night.
