A Foreign Land depicts the story of an Australian dairy cow that travels to India. The 
story explores cultural themes and how cows are exploited in the western world. The 
Australian dairy cow, although cute, is undernourished, strained and has a sagging 
udder. She is in very poor health in comparison to the Indian cow, which is well-fed, 
strong and respected in her home country of in India.
