What started as a design I made for fun and to share on Instagram became a collection of lights produced by Gantri and also sold at the MoMA Store.

In June of 2021 I designed the task version of the Analog light and shared the renderings on Instagram. I was sitting at my messy desk, had been playing Lego with my daughter and sketched a stack of 4 cubes with another cantilevered off the side. I was thinking of the type of light I'd like on my desk, something geometric with a small footprint, a pop of color, something fun that I'd want to look at during the day when it's off and that would bring me joy.

I next created floor and wall versions of the task light adding some context renderings while refining them along the way. To my excitement, my friends at Gantri saw the family of lights and was interested in producing them together.

Working with the team at Gantri is an awesome experience, they offered much support, helped me think deeper about my own brand, and I have to give them all credit for the engineering and figuring out how to simply remove the diffuser to change the bulb.

The family of lights is composed of a task light, a floor light and a wall light in 3 colorways.
