ARKA
The word 'ARKA' literally means "The Light" in Sanskrit language, which was the initial thought before naming the book that would capture the essence and take it's viewers on a visual journey through the "Sun Temple of Modhera". The coffee table book aims at giving it's readers an unique perspective about the astonishing architecture, breathtaking views and awe-inspiring heritage of the temple that is located in the depths of Gujarat.
The video records a flip page that when turned, shows you the entire image that was once just a black and white portrait of these men.
This particular page was motivated by a group of young youngsters who were really enthusiastic about having their picture taken. The fact that the children displayed such a sharp eye for the complexities of the 'VAAV' was kept a secret from the outside world. In addition to this, they had such a strong connection to their environment that not even the allure of contemporary technology was enough to divert their attention.
