CRAFT DOCUMENTATION - Warli Art of Maharashtra


Art and Culture have always been notable aspects of India's history and are entwined into people's daily life. Art has flourished and is recognised as means of income and a method to spread pictorial wisdom in many communities. 

Warli is widely known art form; however, it is recognised more for its superficial beauty - a stark contrast of white paint on a muddy wall - rather than the real intention of the art form that is more profound. 
The unique stick figure art symbolises the day-to-day life of the tribe as a whole. Here's a humble attempt to emblazon knowledge and awareness about the Warli art form and value this beautiful piece of art, which was born and practised in Maharashtra.
