David Sanders is a musician based in the United Kingdom. He released his latest EP, Jar, in July 2014, and he needed album and artwork prepared in advance of an appearance at a festival.

 

The themes of the album revolve around melancholia and nostalgia but with a dose of hope, using the jar as a lyrical and visual metaphor for the dreams and ideas that we all had as youths and our hopeful attempts to capture those moments and dreams, sometimes in vain. The original photography shot for the front cover and CD itself, a stock photograph for the back cover and the choice of refined, classic typography evoke this feeling of wistful nostalgia.
