Revista ¡elé! - Microscopic Lifeforms

Illustrations done for Zonacuario Ltda. and their children focused magazine ¡elé!
These in particular where printed in the section ''Tema Central - Vida Microscópica'' or ''Central Theme - Microscopic Life''.

This is a section that takes between 8 to 12 pages. It contains information that will interest and teach kids about various aspects of our world like; biology, history, etc.

For this section I made various illustrations that depicted bacterias and other microorganisms in situations that showed how they interact with us humans.

Some microorganisms help in the production of everyday food.
It was onced believed that bacteria appeared spontaneously, but then new information allowed us to know that they are actually produced by other microorganisms.

These little creatures are very very old.

They can be anywhere, in water, surfaces, even on us!

There are various kinds of microorganisms, and each one of them have many different forms of interacting with their environment.

Some of them had to be clasified in a new type of microorganism because they have the characteristics of two kinds. This new kind was the Protozooarious.

Many of them, inoffensive ones, can live on and inside of us without causing any trouble.

Although some of them may cause illnesses and plagues.

Many scientists worked for years trying to find these extraordinary creatures.

They were the so called fathers of microbiology.

Bacterias and many other kinds of microorganisms are so important to us that without them we wouldn't have had oxygen to breathe.

Thank you!
