The construction was carried out on the basis of a central concrete core raised by means of sliding formwork, which contains stairs, elevators and toilets; and serves at the same time as a windbreak for the structure. It was novel in its day due to its façade, entirely glazed, provided with a system of solar panels that capture solar energy. When it was inaugurated it was described as a "supermodern" building, and considered the «first self-energetic building in Madrid»
