- While researching new promotional opportunities, I noticed that some customers chatted up our front line student workers. Since 80% of our workforce is student employees it's common for classmates to run into each other in the store. I developed the concept of the name tag with a promotional insert from this observation.

Result
It worked well at creating buzz! While customers were in line or checking out, they noticed the current promotion and sometimes chatted up employees about it.
This method was also another reminder or instance of repetition for a promotion they might have already seen or heard about.
Soon thereafter we implemented this method for all of our major events. It proved to be a helpful conversation starter at student and parent orientation events.
