BRIEF
In this project we were tasked with making an electric Afrofuturistic car. The car is to be designed to meet one of the three themes which are, utility/ adventure, sports/ high performance and urban people carrier.
Vehicles that satisfy our distinct practical and aesthetic criteria are desperately needed in our situation as a developing country in Africa, especially as we move towards adopting electric vehicles of the future. We must critically consider and appreciate African design in the context of this project, as well as what it means to us and how we see it developing in the future from an automotive perspective.
The department must evaluate all of the skills you have learned throughout the year as well as your preparation to start your second year of study successfully in this final assignment. Therefore, the exam will demonstrate all of your talents in a substantial design project.
With a focus on sophisticated form-giving, practical consideration, and the use of graphic/colour as an extra layer of aesthetic value that speaks to a vision of the future of EV car design from an African setting, the design must be visually appealing.

The goal of an electric car project is to create a car that runs entirely on electricity rather than conventional fossil fuels. Because they are eco-friendly and have the potential to minimise air pollution, electric automobiles are growing in popularity. There is no need for petrol or diesel in these vehicles because an electric motor is powered by rechargeable battery packs. To establish a sustainable and emission-free mode of transportation, the project entails merging cutting-edge battery technology, effective charging infrastructure, and cutting-edge motor technologies.
