I created this project during my creative technologies class. My goal was to stop my dog from tearing up the door every time she wanted to come inside the house. To fix this issue I came up with an idea to have a button outside the house that my dog could press and it would trigger the word "inside" to play through speakers inside the house. I used laser cut plywood for the base and then 3D printed the button on top and a button extender that goes down and connects to the Arduino.
These are some picture of the process of making this project. I started by laser cutting the overall shape out of foam so that I could get accurate dimensions. Then I added the sound "inside" to the Arduino code because that is the key word I will use to train the dogs. Finally, I attached some speakers up to the Arduino so that the word would be loud enough to hear throughout the house.
These are two videos the some of the dogs I did my user testing on.
