This longform drawing is an illustration of the Emily Bronte poem 'Spellbound' (aka. 'The night is darkening round me'). It took me two months to draw from start to finish, with the original sketch being a little over a metre long so that I had scope to work in fine detail. I then scanned it and scaled it down to fit the length of A2 landscape.
The next stage of this project is to turn the printed illustration into an A6 concertina book with the original text of the poem typed on the reverse with a typewriter. These will then be sent out as hopeful mailers!
