Out and about in Germany.
This photograph was taken at the Möhnesee in Germany a few days ago.
It is a reservoir for drinking-water as well as producing electricity for the Ruhr region.
Back in 1943 the dam of the reservoir was destroyed by the RAF during WW II.
When I first started working, I had a co-worker who experienced the amount of water running down the Ruhr-valley.
Every time we had thunder in the air, she hid underneath her desk. It reminded her of the sound of water rushing down from more than 50 km away.
