Intergenerational Interaction Cultural Center
The project area is located in Esenler district which is in the south of Istanbul. According to research, there are only 2 places in Esenler where elderly people can spend time. Irregular meeting points have been formed because of insufficient works and places for them. Since children cannot be found in these irregular points, their relationships with children are very weak. In this case, intergenerational interaction can’t occur at all. This project aims to increase these cultural ties.
In the project, which consists of the merger of two separate L-blocks, the relationship between open space and closed space is prioritized and spaces are designed according to different activities.
