The artwork is inspired by the social and emotional isolation that people find themselves in and most often create by themselves. With inspiration from ancient Greek philosophy, the man is exhibited as a caged animal, which aims to show the irony of the human nature - man as the only rational species, destined to live incommunity, arbitrarily imprisoned in the cage of their own mind.

Although it may seem that such a sensitive topic is presented perhaps harshly and carelessly, the intention is precisely to attract attention and lead to deeper reflections. The simplicity of the design invites reflection and leaves space for your own interpretation. It follows the idea that the work cannot send any relevant message to individuals found in the mentioned forms of isolation, precisely because of that mental "enclosure" they are in, so they can only find the answer to their suffering within themselves.

The red color communicates the power of mind that Zoon Politikon has control over itself. The strong contrast the red color creates emphasizes the symbolism of the color.
