Tynne, Is a strong, wedge-serif display font with a large x-height, a subtly syncopated rhythm and deep ‘ink traps’ which have the effect of lending the even colour a bit of sparkle.
The name Tynne, was derived from the Irish for tin, which, in the form of sheet metal is evoked by the sharp, angular “snipped” feel of the serifs, open counters and notch-like ink traps.
The 566 glyph character set has wide ranging language support and OpenType features including over 70 standard and discretionary ligatures, three sets of figures, case sensitive glyphs and small caps and swashes.
I am proud to acknowledge the technical advice, and assistance of fellow type designer, James Arboghast.
