The Story
Our heroes on the planet Pinkantu, are escaping from the overlord Skol and his horde of hovering robot Skolettes, as they are bursting out of his floating fortress of skolotron.
The Concept
This is a he-man masters of the universe inspired digital illustration I did for a friend. He grew up in the 80s and was a big fan of the cartoon pop culture at the time. Initially I wanted to incorporate a few more elements from the 80s cartoon era, but I decided to keep to the one to make things simple. The two characters in the illustration are actually based on him and his wife, and his dog.
When I was conceptualizing the characters, I used stable diffusion's AI to help give me some ideas and poses for the main hero in the illustrations, and from there I started drawing out ideas of my own.
