These are illustrations for a children's book that discusses common public health issues for young people in the remote community of Lajamanu, where I live and work. The book is a collaboration between myself and a local doctor with the aim of delivering health information in a way that is engaging and relevant to youth in Lajamanu for whom English is a second language. The book will have the added benifit of encouraging involvement with the reading program at the youth center that I manage.
These drawings were inspired by the young people I work with, but do not directly represent any one individual.
