STREET EATS
'Through the streets of Kolkata'

Christened by French author Dominique Lapierre as the City of Joy, Kolkata, definitely has a lot to offer as part of its culture and traditions.

When people talk about scrumptious street food, one cannot forget mentioning Kolkata. A variety of gastronomic delights are available on the streets of the city, and that too, for cheap - probably one of the cheapest in the world.

Street vendors with tasty delicacies to serve can be easily encountered in and around the schools, colleges, office areas, public monuments and at other places where people congregate. But, how they manage to sell food so cheap is still very much a mystery.

These treats have grown to become local favourites inspite of them having roots in various other parts of the country. The project thus seeks to explore the various secrets and facts associated with the ‘streets’ and ‘food’ of Kolkata.

The final deliverable for the project was an interactive website having the following sections:

1. Landing page- This would have the title of the project

2. Homepage- The landing page would lead the viewer to the home page which woud have buttons leading to the three main sections of the website, namely
i) Explore
ii) Indulge
iii) Tete-a-tete
