Part of the NFT collection "Dogs against the Dogs of War": The Bark Project
This project was initiated by the bickerstaff734 agency and Ukrainian illustrators in response to the Russian invasion, with the aim of raising funds for the Ukrainian Armed Forces and the dogs at the Gostomel shelter who suffered during the Russian occupation.
Both before and after February 24th, we understood that dogs were our best friends, symbols of love and loyalty. However, following the Russian invasion, we discovered the concept of "war piggo-dogs," a term quickly associated with the Russian military. They seemed to only know how to plunder, kill, and bring sorrow and endless tears. Regular dogs chase cats, while piggo-dogs chase the memory of fallen Bandera soldiers. This highlights the stark difference: real dogs are kind and intelligent, chasing cats just for fun, while the Russian occupiers appear unwise and cruel, unable to free themselves from their obsession with pursuing Bandera sympathizers.
