Bold Raven
First of three Halloween Illustrations
The focus of this illustration is a raven, soaring gracefully through the night air, its feathers glistening in the moon's silvery glow. Clutched firmly in its talons is a small, ornate potion bottle, and a rabbit's paw dangling from a fine chain. It emanates an aura of luck and protection, as if it's both a talisman and an offering to the night's spirits. In the shadowy background, a bat with outstretched wings adds an element of intrigue, as if it's overseeing the raven's flight with a watchful eye. The entire composition is framed by twisting vines with vibrant, ripe pumpkin.
The sketch was done with a pencil on a pater, and later transferred to Procreate for the line work, and colored in Photoshop.

The Color Palette
