Personal business cards

I am my toughest client, so nailing my professional persona in a couple card slides proved challenging. As a student I don't have a formal position, so I knew to choose a broad title. Titles like 'Designer' and 'Photographer' were accurate but did not encompass my skillsets - I chose storyteller to both cover my strengths and act as a conversation piece. I highlighted the silhouette on the cover becuse it not only holds the eye but also embodies my inclination toward clean, expressive design as well as my thirst for learning. Though complex thinking went into the design, I attempted to make the slide appear unassuming, even mysterious, because I believe I embody the phrase "More than meets the eye."

In the second slide, I attempted to communicate the design essence of the first but invert it to symbolize my versatility and multifacetedness. I include a call to action as sort of an experiment - if calls to action work for web marketing, why not for a business card? All in all I kept the tone friendly with conversational copy and sans-serif type, attempting to highlight my information by the order in which I'd like it viewed.
