As a project in a design foundations class, we were assigned to pick a pair of contrasting themes (good and evil, war and peace, etc.) and create a design from it. I was the only person to choose sexual and asexual, mostly because people were nervous to address the subject without being to graphic or obvious. I saw it as risky and a challenge and took it on. My designed was executed successfully and in good taste through photography and strategic placing of objects within the composition. I also felt my design could easily and effectively advertise for Kleenex to a younger, more open-minded demographic, so I came up with the copy on placed it next to the Kleenex logo on my design. It was a class favorite and I’m still referred to by some as the “tissue guy”.
