The 10 Principles of Burning Man
Burning Man co-founder Larry Harvey wrote the 10 Principles in 2004 as guidelines for the newly-formed Regional Network. They were crafted not as a dictate of how people should be and act, but as a reflection of the community’s ethos and culture as it had organically developed since the event’s inception.

Juniper Tree Meaning and Symbolism
Junipers and humans have had a long history together, and it is likely to continue far into the future. This hardy evergreen has been used for medicinal purposes, as well as fuel and lumber since ancient times. Juniper tree symbolism is steeped in antiquity and has long been associated with symbolism and a lot of meanings. Many cultures see the juniper as a tree of life, representing immortality and resurrection. It is also seen as a symbol of protection, often used in talismans and amulets.
Symbolism: Cleansing, protection and humility
Divine Association: The spirit world
Astrological Association: Neptune
The Tree of Life is a fundamental archetype in many of the world's mythological, religious, and philosophical traditions. It is closely related to the concept of the sacred tree. The tree of knowledge, connecting to heaven and the underworld, and the tree of life, connecting all forms of creation, are both forms of the world tree or cosmic tree, and are portrayed in various religions and philosophies as the same tree.
