‘Are you guys insane? You can’t do this!’

While working late hours every day at our internship at Amsterdam based advertising agency Natwerk, the Christmas holidays came up. To celebrate New Year’s Eve, we wanted to give our beloved clients a little present.
So, what better way than to give them the most awesome piece of fireworks: De Honderduizendklapper. (100k banger) A suitable gift, don’t you think?
Instead of the real thing, we made a much safer alternative; a plastic ratchet shaped like two clapping hands. It only makes the noise of a 100k banger. We packed it like the real deal.
The next day
The day after we’d sent out all packages, we got a disturbing call from the post office. They had taken out the whole batch, saying there was absolutely no way we could send fireworks by mail! ‘Are you guys insane? You can’t do this!’ they said. After we explained the situation it all worked out and everybody had a blast!
