Medium - 2B graphite pencil, oil pastels, 0.4 fineline pen, 0.5 pen, colour pencils, and water colour.

Process and Reflections:
I used 2B graphite pencil to draw the columns and rows as it was encouraged by the lecturer to not use a ruler. To my surprise, needing to draw straight lines seems to be frustrating as it is not easy to control one's grip.

Row 1 (2B graphite pencil), row 3 (0.4 fineline pen), row 4 (0.5 pen), and row 4 (colour pencil) was relatively easy to draw shapes and lines. In second row, I utilised oil pastels and it was interesting since I've only used oil pastels for colouring. When colouring, I would go over a layer by a layer so that the oil and wax would blend in. Since it was only applied by one stroke, it has a grain-like texture at the end result.

In the last row, water colour was used and I struggle with drawing straight lines especially in the first and second column. I rarely play with water colour because it can be quite difficult to control. I am also unfamiliar with the amount of water should the brush hold, hence my second column; the first straight line seems grainy and it is due to the lack of water.

Medium - 0.4 fineline pen

Process and Reflections:
The five items are drawn freehand using a fineline pen. I drew items that was available on my desk during the tutorial class which is my Galaxy Z flip phone and the 0.4 fineline pen cover. The pencil, Mac bluetooth mouse and cup was from my study desk.

The process of line drawings is simple but you can easily make mistakes without a proper draft. As you can see the lines of my cup holder was awfully drawn because I underestimated the curviness of the shape. I then added multiple lines to make the curve as if I was using a 2B graphite pencil to sketch. It is obvious that I struggle with straight lines as well. Lastly, I found the pen cover was the easiest to draw out of all, and I believe it has to do with the size of the item. The smaller the item, the easier for me to control my grip when drawing.

Medium - Water Colour

Process and Reflections:
It was my first time drawing shapes with water colour on a blank canvas. The process of drawing round shapes seems to be easier as the strokes of water colour is light, not much pressure is needed to create shapes.

I would have to say lines would be my worst enemy, as I can't help but to laugh at my end result of the pencil. I have since practiced straight lines in my own time using the same medium, I noticed the way of one's grip can produce different end results. However, I am proud of the depth I added to emphasise the cone shape of the pencil.

Medium - 0.4 fineline pen

Process and Reflections:
A fineline pen is used to add details on the shapes and to effectively to showcase the items. I should have handle my control of the lines better in this image, as my lines seem wonky and rushed. I also felt that the better the shapes were, The details of the line will not be as difficult to add on.

I am not proud of the images, and will continue to improve drawings of my lines.

Medium - 2B graphite pencil and water colour

Process and Reflections:
I have chosen the example images provided in the week 1 modules.

The negative space is relatively easy to paint as I only have a still figure sitting upstraight.
However, the figure of the lady was a challenge for me to draw. I am not skilled in portraits (realistic drawings) so I tend to avoid it. I decided it’s a good time to step out of my comfort zone in this unit as it should be an opportunity to improve my drawing, and possibly finding my own style. I struggled with the need of thick and thin lines for the portrait drawing; there is definitely techniques that needed to be learned.
