Major Design Iterations
One solution for this project was to add the word 'from' before the actual price of the listing. However, the way it was incorporated into the UI of the card was not optimal. It looked unbalanced and could potentially confuse the user. To address this issue, I made a major iteration by moving all the card content towards the left side. By doing this, all the information is now sorted on one side, resulting in better visibility for the user.
Initially, we used a small icon to indicate the price surge on the total price component of the screen, which served as a solution. However, through further design iterations, I realised that incorporating a purple stroke on the total price component effectively draws the user's attention, making it impossible to ignore the price surge.
A significant design improvement was made by including a complete price breakdown with accurate price surge information in one place in the bottom sheet design. In the previous design, the user had to click on the 'info' icon to see the specific date the multiplier was applied, which added extra steps to view the complete breakdown of their booking. With this new design, the user can view the full breakdown of their booking with ease.

As evidenced by the charts for customer service inbound contact reasons, it is clear that as of January 12, 2023, there were up to 10 complaints per day regarding uncertainty in payment and listing prices. However, as shown in the second picture, after the release of the improved UI for the multiplier feature on February 22, 2023, there was a significant decrease in customer complaints, with only one complaint per day.
