Crafting & moulding fragrant dreams

The essence of PHŌS (Greek for 'light'), an artisanal soy-based aromatic candle-making shop, centers on illuminating dreams, warming hearts, and awakening soulful aromas. This vision drives the brand's graphic design approach, embracing minimalism that echoes the delicate equilibrium between light and shadow embodied by its candles. PHŌS employs a duotone colour palette, balancing white and black. White symbolises purity, radiance, and the illuminating nature of the candles, while black conveys depth, enigma, and the interplay of shadows. This duality underlines the design, emphasising the contrast between lightness and darkness. Though the product range includes candles, aroma diffusers, and fabric sprays, the consistent theme revolves around materials taking center stage, with the PHŌS branding designed to complement them seamlessly.

Typography follows a clean, classic, and sophisticated style. An intricate serif font with exaggerated glyphs, captures the brand's essence, ensuring readability while complementing its overall identity with a classy and luxurious feel. As "phos" in Greek signifies "light," our choice was to depict the radiant essence through a simple line illustration, aligning with the brand's image. While the minimalist packaging features clean lines, predominantly white with black typography, the illustration utilises geometric forms in a similar monochromatic scheme to evoke the essence of radiant light, harmonising seamlessly with the overall aesthetic.

Throughout, by maintaining consistency and employing a minimalist approach that balances white and black, PHŌS' branding embodies its promise to illuminate dreams, warm hearts, and infuse spaces with soulful aromas.
