The Brief
The aim was to develop a series of intricately set up photographs, as well as a video for Instagram reels, utilizing a product of my choosing. Considering the composition, style, environment, and communication, as well as the minimum requirement of three varieties, such as flavor, fragrance, or function, must be taken into account for the product. To be categorized as e-commerce, the product should be packaged. I had to be particularly attentive to the lighting and proficiency of setting up a scene relative to a specific theme or mood.
About Blendsscape
Blendsscape is a small business that creates luxury plant-based soaps. Crafted with natural botanical powders and essential oils, deriving all the ingredients from nature makes the soap luxurious and helps nourish the skin. They contain superfat, which is a percentage of oils in the soap that don’t turn into soap, ensuring that the skin doesn’t dry out. To top it all off the essential oil blends also provide aromatherapy benefits.

The Approach
To capture the luxury and simplicity of the brand, the color palette that I chose makes use of neutral tones paired with teal. The natural lighting implies the natural
ingredients used in the soaps and the minimal use of props allows for the accentuation of the products.

Single Shots
These images played on the idea of using citrus fruits as a part of the compositions by replacing the actual fruit with textured clay bowls that replicate the shape of citrus fruits such as oranges or grapefruit.

Texture has been created in a neutral tone and shadows were cast on a teal background throughout all of the images. These compositions make use of stacking
to create both balance and a sense of movement within the images.

Instagram Reel
The video reel was created by carefully placing individual pieces of chocolate chips and funfetti in a square shape to replicate that of the bar of soap. This process was repeated for each bar of soap to create somewhat of a spiral leading toward the product. The teal color was used as a background for the video to create cohesiveness
between the images and the video.
