Girl Scouts Cookie Patch Designer

Girl Scouts Cookie Patch Designer
Logo & Website Design
My final project with Lion Brothers was on the Girl Scouts Cookie Patch Designer. Similar to the Girl Scout Design Studio for designing tee shirts, GS Cookie Patch Designer was created to allow Girl Scouts to create their own personalized, laser-etched cookie patches to show off their sales accomplishments during the cookie sales season. The girls choose from a variety of pre-designed backgrounds, add their name and tagline in a font of their choosing, and then order the patch. The patches are created through a combination of sublimation printing and laser-etching.

For the design, I wanted to bring in the new Girl Scout Green and then play off it using bright, contrasting tones of pink, blue, and yellow. Big, bright, shiny buttons and lots of color appeal to Girl Scouts of all ages, but most particularly the target ages of 9-12. The biggest challenge with this website was creating something that would be super easy to use the first time it is accessed, as users would likely only be coming back once per year and could be anyone from a 5-year-old Daisy to a 90-year-old grandmother. As with GSDS, I was only involved in the design aspect of this site, and not at all with the build.

NOTE: I have since left employment with Lion Brothers and will sadly no longer be a part of this project. I will not be posting the live link as the work shown represents only my design work through the end of the employment, and the live site may not.
