Defining Through Type Project
In Order: "Clone", "Maintain", "Possess", "Punch", "Settle".
This was a series I completed for my Graphic Design I class. The goal of the project was to choose five words and use typography and design to express their meaning. The colorway for this project was limited to a greyscale in order to focus more on expression through the characters, words, alignments, and use of the grid.
Each word has its own composition, which consists of a specific hierarchy: The word itself as the header/main focus, the definition as the secondary, and a quote relating to the word as the body text. I feel as though my strength is experimentation and illustrative properties in my style helped to strengthen my compositions and express these five in an interesting and compelling manner.
