Traditional Live TV has taken a giant leap and is now available as OTT TV service on the biggest Smart TV brands.
A fantastic viewing experience
By simply logging in with a QR code, consumers can quickly start watching their favorite series and movies.
The Home screen immediately starts playing video to immerse the user in the TV experience. This can be Live TV, but programs can also be watched 7 days back with the Catch Up feature, and with the Cloud PVR all recordings are immediately available.
The powerful and user-friendly Player is responsible for an excellent viewing experience, and a Search functionality is available so the users can easily find the movies and shows they are looking for.
The apps have been developed natively for the Android TV and Apple TV platforms, but also specifically for Samsung and LG televisions, which run on the Operating Systems Tizen and WebOS.
As design lead I already started working with DELTA Fiber in 2017, when Stoneroos was asked to design and develop the Settop-box experience from scratch.
Together with the client a design philosophy was created to establish a base from which design decisions could be made, resulting in an innovative UX and UI for Settop-box. In the years that would follow, also apps for iOS and Android devices and Website were created.
In all these projects my role consisted out of delivering new designs and flows, present innovations & improvements and protect the design philosophy, while maintaining consistency across all platforms and devices.
To create the Smart TV apps, the OTT NOW! white label solution was utilized.
OTT NOW! enables DELTA Fiber to provide its customers with the best entertainment experience on any screen. The setup of the OTT NOW! framework ensures a fast time-2-market for new apps and the flexibility of adding new features to existing apps.
