Poster for Mirko Ilić’s Tolerance project

Concept:

At the beginning of the project I couldn’t decide which color to put as a background for my sketches, which color would perfectly represent tolerance, after that which typography would be ideal and that’s kinda how it all started, trying to find something perfect to describe tolerance, perfect race, age, time, joke, system, person, opinion, picture, and it all came up to the word.

So my idea was, you don’t have to accept other people’s opinions, attitudes, ideas, or anything like that but you shouldn’t discriminate them for it or be intolerant.

For sure not all ideas are as equally valuable, but true tolerance means we treat all people as equally valuable.

The need for tolerance is growing every single day because the world is becoming more complex, there are more and more ideas, more and more states, opinions, more and more ways of life and thus tolerance becomes a wider and wider concept, in a sense as if another word should be found.

There are many words that I looked for to describe tolerance and my poster represents just that, layers of papers which I ripped in hope to find those words and a this one “perfect word” for tolerance that I finally found.
