Introduction to Illustration

This is work from the first 4 weeks of university, they gave us free roam to complete 3 sketchbooks of various sizes. To gather ideas we went to art galleries including, Ikon and Birmingham Art Gallery. I first started with observational images and then moved to rubber stamp making, which I loved to experiment a lot with. I was also asked to make a book cover about the "rules" of illustration, the rules consisted of; being yourself and keeping on experimenting.
