Idea
9 out of 10 women have already been victims of sexist harassment and/or sexual assaults. Perhaps you will never be among the harassers or the harassed, but you will certainly one day be part of another group of people: the witnesses. 

Perhaps you will never be among the harassed individuals. But you will certainly one day be part of another group of people: the witnesses. A stakeholder whose power is currently underestimated. To make a difference, equal.brussels, safe.brussels and air Brussels aim to encourage every Brussels resident to join FAM: a watchful and caring 'family' of witnesses ready to respond when needed.

This campaign was broadcast throughout Brussels in both French and Dutch.

My role
My job was to give a graphic identity to this campaign against harassment in public spaces, a topic that concerns us all. The use of graffiti allowed us to bring an urban and activist dimension to it. I incorporated the eye into the text, partly designed the logo, chose the typography and colors for a cohesive and impactful look. I also created design variations for different media (OOH, Tram, Bus, etc.) to maximize the campaign's reach.



To intervene, yes. But how? Each member of FAM is invited to apply "the 5D rule": distract, delegate, document, direct, and dialogue. A method already known to insiders that Equal Brussels and Air have adapted into a series of golden rules, which, when combined, form the code of honor of FAM. Rule #2: We use our imagination to divert attention. Rule #3: If we don't know how to help, we know how to film. Rule #19: We pretend to be friends if we see that you are in trouble. These instructions and many others are explained in the campaign film by the founding members of FAM. They will also be posted all over Brussels to encourage and guide the members.
