Better Homes & Gardens
I spent several years working on the Better Homes & Gardens brand sold at Walmart, eventually becoming the Senior Hard Home Designer and leading the hard goods team. During that time, I worked on nearly every hard goods category, and occasionally soft goods too. Some highlights of items that went to market are featured below.
Based on sales data from the previous two years, the BHG team decided to update and expand the holiday dinnerware set with mix and match items and new serving pieces coordinating to the prior Poinsettia (shown lower down page) and Mistletoe dinnerware sets. Working with the print team, and hard goods team members and freelancers under my direction, we created a great collection that outsold the opening price-point merchandise on offer at Walmart. It was a great success!
Harvest Tabletop: With the help of the BHG print team and our creative directors, I designed the Harvest 2011 dinnerware collection including the decal printed dinnerware set and sculpted turkey serving pieces.
Kitchen wares: With the help of freelancers under my direction, I designed these canning jars for fall 2010. Accessories such as cloth toppers, a recipe box, and a wire caddy completed the collection.
Year round tabletop: Using graphic elements from our print team, I designed this ceramic dinnerware set with pad printed technique as part of the complete overhaul of the BHG modular dinnerware section that I oversaw for introduction in Spring 2011.
Summer Entertaining: Working with the BHG art team and design directors, I designed this printed melamine dinner and serveware and acrylic beverage glasses for the summer "hot spot" feature for Summer 2010.
Year round decor: Under the direction of our design manager, I designed this 24" indoor clock design for a complete modular update for Spring 2010. This was the best selling clock for the Better Homes and Gardens brand for several seasons.
Year round decor: With the help of the BHG hard goods team and using graphic elements from the print team, I designed this candle jar for the Spring 2010 modular update.
Holiday Tabletop: With the help of our print team and direction from our design managers, I enhanced the artwork and designed the poinsettia dinnerware set for Holiday 2009. It has been a continual favorite and reintroduced for the season for several years running with pattern additions and mix & match updates.

Harvest Tabletop: Under the direction of our hard goods manager, I designed the hurricane candle holders with decorative floral rings for Harvest 2009.
