Ai EXPERIMENTATION.

My Reasoning for using Ai was to introduce the mythological aspects of the readings in which inspired my folio work into the imagery of what it was that I was shooting, I’ve been using Ai as a tool to communicate things that I think logistically would be impossible, The connections that I make between Ancient Greece and the housing situation is based around readings from various greek philosophers, Plato, Marcus Aurelius and Seneca are my main readings.

My connection between the Sonics and the housing crisis is based around the fundamental understanding that stoicism has surrounding the environment, that things are in a constant state of change and transformation, and that change, whether it is perceived as good or bad, is nevertheless a change that is inevitable. In my context of the suburban areas of Melbourne, That constant transformation manifests itself in empty plots of land, which will eventually be bought, the ground ripped up from its natural state, just for it to be turned into more housing. While at the same time, there is the destruction of homes that have been left abandoned and are now a home for nature, as they are overgrown to the point of becoming a mesh of concrete and nature.

Another reasoning was the connection that I made when looking at the introduction of Ai into our society in reference to the introduction of different modes of writing and printing, involving items like papyrus, ink, dyes and wax tablet writings. I think that Ai is just another step in our development.

AI EXPLORATION PT.1 (PHOTOSHOP GENERATIVE TOOL)

This Series of 16 Images was created using Photoshops generative AI feature, the prompting ranged from articles relating to a love of Greek Philosophy aswell as an obsession with Stanley Kubricks 2001, A Space Odyssey.

Ai EXPLORATION PT.2 (RUNWAY)

The Images made in [ EXPERIMENT 1 ] were made into a series of 8 clips using a feature of RUNWAY, an artificial intellegence research company on the cutting edge, a subscription with them allows you to take advantage of their servers as an exploratory tool, this experiment observes how AI reacts to its own creation with a different objective this time. its amusing to see how a main feature of all of the videos is the construction or reconstruction of places and things.
