Part 2 of 2
TTC Route Map Redesign Whimsical

This concept is focused on expressing the reality of the transit system, chaotic

Goals: Not a smart screen (like the Grid alternative) and more of an artpiece. Bare minimum information, technically factual, but difficult to understand, no legend, no Monday-Friday, etc. The final outcome garners a street art / graffiti-esque style that is very true to the bus shelters, and general tagging on TTC property.

The media/ construction includes:
• A large-scale b/w print of the real life transit route (to scale)
• Color coded pins (red for route covered, white for route yet to achieve) at each stop
• Paired with the same color coded string joining the dots together
• Photographed to flatten image for drawing
• Scanned markered in text on blank paper
• Final arrangement & layout completed in Photoshop CC

** In hindsight, I would have altered this piece by including the pins & thread and have the text underneath it all to create a more realistic and three dimensional effect -- & maybe more thread to give it depth**
